Kingdom of Eirondia
Pronounced - (Air)*(on)*(dee)*(ah)
Intro - Eirondia is a collection of Islands that rests just west of the kingdom of Erathien. It consists of 4 separate land masses, all connected by beautifully crafted bridges. The Main island houses the Capital of Eirondia as well as the lands greatest and vastest forest. This forest is one well renowned and visited for its magical qualities and beautiful creatures. This magic though happens to encompass the entity of the Kingdom and blesses it's people with great riches and a powerful atmosphere. It is this magic that allows the Queen and her people to have rare relationships with the creatures around them. Some of which are quite remarkable, like the Cerberus bears and hummingdeer that roam these fabled forests. Both species exist peacefully among the other as well as travelers and the kingdom people who come to visit.
Landscape - The four islands range from beautiful white sandy beaches, tall towering tress, mighty mountainsides to cascading waterfalls. Though each island varies with these traits, the main island is most abundant with these stunning characteristics. But, the most magnificent sight of the land is the castle which is hand crafted by the most skilled people around. The stone is handpicked for every part of it, and always gleams a pearly and perfect white. But, the stone blends well with the land and has adopted many vines, and native plant life to adorn it's tall structures. The castle itself is 500 years old and has been ruled by the same family for all five generations. It is one of the oldest standing relics in the new world.
Lore of the Magic - The magic found on Eirondia's islands cannot be found anywhere else in the world. It has been present on the islands even before Eirondia was an official kingdom. This magic controls the order and flow that the islands so obviously display, and without it, Eirondia would be nothing more than another kingdom in the woods. King Alexander, the first ruler of Eirondia sought to harness this magic and use it to help protect his people and his kingdom. In doing so he made a pact to keep the bloodline pure, and protect these lands from annihilation. By doing so, the magic of the lands mutated the Kings genes to publicly show the marks of the bloodline, and remind him and his children to follow the pact that was made.
Foreign Policy - Eirondia is known for its passive behavior and peaceful nature. It is rare for this kingdom to be fighting a war on any front, though they will to protect others who require aide and have a just cause or to protect it's own boarders. Most often, the Queen of the Land, Ambrosia will come to help get negotiations started between two warring lands and seek out peace. Therefore she is traveling often and trying to create good and healthy relationships with other rulers as to benefit her peace keeping mission. However, this passive and peace keeping behavior can be broken from time to time although such behavior has never been seen from Eirondia's current ruler.
Trading - As far as policies for trading, Eirondia is open to many markets specifically for rare metals, gems and some food resources not found on the islands. Though the Queen would like to have her kingdom be completely self-sufficient, she understands her country in order to keep up with foreign competition must get the necessary supplies to defend themselves or exert military force. Eirondia is famous for their skilled craftsman who are capable of making beautiful architecture, armor and weapons. Many countries seek out Eirondia's weapon goods for their high quality and gorgeous handy work. Most pay a pretty penny to get their hands on just one blade.
Hierarchy - The rule of Eirondia is passed down through blood. Only a member of the first royal family may take the throne of Eirondia and if no heir may claim the crown, the kingdom itself will collapse, or so the lore dictates. Currently the reign of the royal family has lasted five generations and shall continue on for many more. However, the crown itself does not favor a male or female ruler, so the reign of a single Queen or King makes no difference to the ruling of the lands. The very first ruler of Eirondia was Alexander, who bore a son Marcus, followed by Hera, Meira, and finally resting on the current Queen Ambrosia. Soon she too must marry and birth a child to claim the throne she shall leave for their predecessor. Any ruler of Eirondia must have an heir before the age of 30 in order to ensure the next ruler is properly groomed for the ruling of their subjects.
Royal Traits - Unlike many other kingdoms, Eirondia's rulers must bare the marks of royal blood. These marks are not actually markings on their person, but rather mutations to their appearances. Most, if not all the previous rulers, had unique and distinguishable traits that no other member of Eirondia possesses. These mutations mark the "right to rule" and display the royal bloodline. If an heir is born without these mutations, it is a symbol of the bloodline being tarnished and has therefore broken the tradition of the lands.
Royalty Laws - Every King and Queen of Eirondia is expected to abide by the rules written by Alexander when the kingdom was first created. If such laws are to be broken, it would also brake the pact of the magic and ultimately destroy the kingdom along with its people.
